THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING SPECIAL

The Good Guys sports podcast is a must listen for anyone who believes in the transformative power of unity, compassion and the love of sports. Good Guys Sports Talk For All (formerly Black Jack Sports) was born in 2015 at the University of South Carolina with Carolina Life student Jackson Goerke and his good friend and professor Blake Lineberger talking sports on the USC radio station once a week as a way to stay connected and share their love of sports. Promoting resilience and inclusion for those with special needs like Jackson are at the center of what the Good Guys Sports podcast is all about. It’s provided a platform for Blake, and a network of friends and family to join Jackson in spreading a message of joy, love and inclusion all woven into a passion for sports.

The rest is history as they say, with the show hosting many guests and traveling on location to NFL Team HQ’s like the Tampa Bay Bucs, MLB Spring Training complex’s throughout Florida, and even into the Duke press box at Wallace Wade Stadium to name a few.

THE GOOD GUYS CREW GROWS

The Good Guys Team has expanded over time with Brother Blake making it Blake x 2 along with “The Uncle Syndicate” led by show regular Uncle Mike, with guest appearances from Uncle Brian, Steve and Rob. In addition, special guests Kevin Byrne from Duke Athletics, and good friend Grant Radakovich, a former Walton Lax teammate and Clemson National Champ join in with their unique take on the sports world. The Good Guys Team is a testament to the unbreakable bond between family and friends as they come together to not only celebrate the world of sports but also the strength and resilience of Jackson and anyone who faces the everyday challenges of disabilities, illness or just feeling like you don’t fit in. The camaraderie and support on the show serves as a beacon to inspire others to embrace inclusion and the joy of shared passions.

GOOD GUYS…SPORTS TALK FOR ALL

Sports has always been a big part of Jackson’s life. His experience on the field as a member of the Georgia State Lax Champs at Walton HS led to his time at the remarkable USC Carolina Life program that provides deserving students a college experience, and then working in sports for the Tampa Yankee’s and the Coca-Cola NFL Activation Team.
